Blizzard has revealed technical details for Diablo IV on Switch 2 in a new FAQ post on the official forum. This confirms that Diablo IV will target 1440p 30fps docked and 1080p 30fps handheld in its quality mode, but it will also offer a 40fps target mode at 1080p.

How does Diablo IV perform on Nintendo Switch 2?
Players can choose between two graphic settings:Quality Mode
- 30 fps at 1080p in handheld mode
- 30 fps at 1440p in docked mode
Performance Mode
- Handheld: 40 FPS at 1080p
- Docked: 40 FPS at 1080p*
*Docked Performance Mode requires a compatible display with a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher.
Which Nintendo Switch 2 features does Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection support?
Diablo IV supports several Nintendo Switch 2 features:
- Touchscreen controls: Navigate most menus, the map, and your inventory using the touchscreen. Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality is not supported.
- Mouse and Keyboard: Connect a compatible mouse and keyboard via USB.
- Controller Rumble: Feel the action through supported Controller rumble.
- Accessibility features: Text-to-speech for the chat window, speech-to-text for voice chat, and Speak for Me, which converts text into speech in voice chat.
- GameChat: Connect with friends through Nintendo Switch 2’s system-level GameChat functionality and share live gameplay scenes simultaneously.
Can I continue my progress across platforms?

Can I play with other friends on other platforms?
Yes. Cross-play allows Nintendo Switch 2 players to join friends and other players across supported platforms. An active Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for cross-play.Can I play without a Nintendo Switch Online Membership?
Yes. Without a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can still experience:
- The campaign and side quests
- Open-world activities
- Couch co-op
- The Tower and Leaderboards
- Seasonal Ranks and season content
Diablo IV is an online game, so an internet connection is still required. Without a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you will not be able to join an online party, trade with other players, join a Clan, participate in PvP or encounter other players in the open world.
Will my purchases carry over between Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms?
Cosmetics purchased or earned on Nintendo Switch 2 will be available across linked platforms. This also applies to Reliquary Battle Pass purchases and rewards.Platinum earned through gameplay, including Platinum earned through the Battle Pass, will carry over between platforms. Platinum purchased on Nintendo Switch 2 will remain available only on Nintendo Switch 2.
