As Jump Space celebrates it’s 1 Year Anniversary, we caught up with the team at Keepsake Games to see just what’s changed since launch, and what fans can get excited for next!

Since it launched into Early Access on Steam and Game preview on Xbox, Keepsake Games have been on quite the journey. They’ve sold over 900,000 units, released several significant updates, and mostly recently, a chunky summer update with a new ship, looting changes and customisable weapons. Naturally, I wanted to check it out!

What better way to do that of course than to actually play! Playing on an experimental branch ahead of the update’s release, Keepsake Games and I went on a few missions, flew the latest Hammerhead ship and unleashed some serious firepower in a new episode of Split-Screen.

    The anniversary update includes:

    • New inventory system, replacing the previous cargo bag and allowing spacefarers to carry even more items
    • Auto-save feature that allows players to pick up where they left off if their spacefaring adventure requires more than one gameplay session
    • Increased challenge rating, going all the way up to 8 and offering a wider range of difficulty for players seeking ultimate challenge
    • Anniversary reward in the form of a brand-new helmet for players who jump aboard Jump Space between September 14th and October 9th

    Play for Free

Beyond the new update, there’s also a free weekend planned, taking place from the 17th-21st September. You’ll be able to check out the game for free, and if you like it, the team suggested it’ll also be going on sale soon enough.
