The team have stated that they would like to spend slightly longer refining the game before it’s launch. The full statement is as follows:
“Hello, Rayman fans,
Rayman Legends Retold will release on December 3rd.
While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.
In the meantime, we can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on, starting with a Game Overview trailer on September 22. That same day, a selection of creators and press will share fresh hands-on impressions.
On behalf of all the teams working on this game, thank you for your patience, support and trust.

Ubisoft haven’t left everyone eagerly awaiting the game completely in the lurch however, as they’ve promised a new game overview trailer which will release on September 22nd.
A few months ago, our very own Gyozo got his hands-on with the game, and had a great time, saying, “This is a remake that seemingly respects everything that made Rayman Legends such a gem, while not being afraid to reshuffle the plot, some of the progression and add new content on top of it, either.Rayman Legends Retold feels like an excellent way to repropose a game we know and love.” You can read his full thoughts here, or check out the video.
Rayman Legends Retold is now due for release on December 3rd, onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
