Alongside word of Diablo IV: The Age of Hatred Collection coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Activision Blizzard had another big announcement to make: Diablo V is in development. Here’s you first look at the upcoming game. It’s not much, but, well, see for yourself:
Expected to launch in spring of 2029, here’s what Blizzard has to say about the game so far:
For three decades, Sanctuary has stood on the edge of oblivion, and we’ve managed to push the darkness back… until now. The next era of Diablo is now in development.
Revealed during the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony, Diablo V takes players into a Sanctuary that has fallen. The heroes are gone, and Diablo has won.
The only downside here is that Blizzard did not announce platforms for Diablo V. So, it might come to Nintendo Switch 2… and it might not. As we learn more, we’ll be sure to update all of you.
