Moving house is often described as one of life’s most stressful experiences. So naturally, the next sensible step is to turn it into a video game. Moving Simulator arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC for £6.69, giving players the opportunity to build a moving business, transport furniture and discover just how quickly a simple sofa can become a logistical nightmare.
Developed by Corpix Games and Console Labs, and published by PlayWay, the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, allowing players to move between Xbox and PC. If you prefer, you will find it on PlayStation and Steam too.

Moving Simulator puts you in charge of a relocation business, with each contract requiring more than simply picking up a box and hoping for the best.
You’ll need to pack belongings, dismantle furniture and carefully manoeuvre larger items through doors, hallways and tight spaces. Precision matters, particularly when you’re attempting to guide something bulky through an opening that suddenly appears to be much smaller than it was five minutes ago.
Different homes, apartments and mansions provide their own layouts and challenges, while quirky residents and unexpected obstacles ensure that no two jobs are necessarily straightforward.
Pack Smart, Load Carefully
Once everything has been removed from the property, the next challenge is getting it into the truck. Boxes need to be packed efficiently, furniture must be loaded sensibly and transportation straps can be used to secure the cargo.
Fail to organise things properly and the journey could become considerably more expensive. Sharp turns, bumps in the road and poorly secured belongings all have the potential to turn a successful move into a collection of broken furniture and regret.
Completing moves successfully earns money that can be reinvested into the business. Players can expand their fleet, improve equipment and take on larger contracts as their operation develops. The promise of humorous accidents and catastrophic mishaps should also keep things from becoming too serious. After all, there’s only so much realism a game about moving furniture can demand before someone inevitably gets a wardrobe stuck in a doorway.
A Different Kind Of Moving Out
The closest comparison we can think of is arguably the Moving Out series, although Moving Simulator approaches the subject from a more grounded simulation angle. Our 2023 review of Moving Out 2 awarded it 4/5, praising its multiplayer fun, range of levels and objectives, while noting that the camera could sometimes make certain areas difficult to see.
Moving Simulator seems more interested in the practical side of relocation, from packing and loading to securing belongings and growing a business. That doesn’t mean everything will go according to plan, though. The inclusion of comedic accidents suggests that moving day will still have its share of chaos.
At £6.69 from the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store or Steam, Moving Simulator offers a chance to discover whether you have what it takes to run a successful removal business. Just try not to lose a customer’s favourite armchair somewhere between the living room and the truck.
