Building an empire is difficult enough without the world beneath your feet constantly changing. In ENDLESS Legend 2, rising powers must contend with shifting oceans, rival factions and the occasional catastrophe while attempting to establish dominance over the fantasy world of Saiadha.
After spending more than a year in Early Access and Game Preview, the strategy sequel has now reached its full Version 1.0 launch.
Available for £44.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version also available, ENDLESS Legend 2 builds on the feedback and improvements introduced throughout its development period. The game is published by Hooded Horse and developed by AMPLITUDE Studios.

A World That Won’t Stay Still
Saiadha might look like an inviting oceanic paradise, but its future is far less peaceful. Cataclysmic events known as tidefalls cause the oceans to recede, revealing new areas to explore, resources to exploit and routes for rival armies to reach previously protected territories.
That means your carefully planned empire can be forced to adapt as the campaign progresses. A strategic location that once sat safely behind the water could suddenly become a vulnerable frontline, while newly exposed land might provide the resources needed to expand your influence.
Alongside exploration and expansion, you’ll develop cities, establish districts, research technologies and manage the economy of your chosen faction. The question is whether you’ll build patiently for long-term prosperity or rush to secure valuable territory before your neighbours get there first.
Choose Your Faction, Choose Your Strategy
ENDLESS Legend 2’s factions are far more than different visual designs. Each has its own history, philosophy, abilities, military doctrine and approach to empire-building.
You might command the Kin of Sheredyn, rely on the cooperative strengths of the Aspects or embrace the unsettling biology of the Necrophage. The full release also introduces The Sandshapers, a sixth major faction dedicated to restoring the sands that once covered Saiadha.
Two Rogue Factions join them: The Order of Zelevas, a conquest-focused counterpart to the Kin of Sheredyn, and The Severed Claws, a subjugating offshoot of the Necrophage.
Players can also create custom factions by mixing and matching affinities, traits, units and populations from across the game. That provides another way to experiment with different strategies rather than simply following the intended strengths of an established group.
Tactical Battles And Growing Heroes
When diplomacy fails, armies can settle the argument. Combat takes place through turn-based tactical battles, allowing you to position individual units, exploit terrain and make use of faction-specific abilities. Those who prefer to focus on the broader campaign can also auto-resolve encounters.
Heroes play an important role, too. Recruit commanders, improve their abilities, develop relationships and equip them with useful items as they grow throughout a campaign. A well-prepared hero can make a considerable difference when an important battle arrives.
Beyond warfare, players can cultivate relationships with minor factions, incorporate their units and heroes, investigate ruins and uncover powerful artefacts. Victory doesn’t have to come through conquest alone, with diplomacy, technological development and narrative objectives offering alternative routes.
A Bigger ENDLESS Legend 2 At Launch
The journey to Version 1.0 has brought improvements to combat, management and narrative systems, alongside multiplayer support and custom faction creation. The full release is intended to bring those additions together with the game’s expanded faction roster and further content.
We previously covered ENDLESS Legend 2 when it entered Game Preview in 2025, at a time when the Xbox version was still a future prospect. Now, the complete release is ready to offer strategy fans a changing world in which every expansion, alliance and military decision can have consequences.
With Saiadha’s tides reshaping the battlefield and six major factions offering very different ways to play, ENDLESS Legend 2 makes empire-building an exercise in preparation as much as ambition. You can plan for the next hundred turns, of course – just don’t assume the coastline will still be where you left it.
You’ll find ENDLESS Legend 2 on the Xbox Store.
